Marsha Norman was awarded the 1983 Pulitzer Prize,
Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, Hull-Warriner, and Drama Desk Awards for 'night, Mother, which received its world premiere at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in December 1982.
